Networking Join us on our public listserv or Facebook. ![]() Regional and Bi-Regional Annual Conference Held in the fall, with opportunities to attend workshops, sessions and network with your New York, New Jersey and occasionally, your Canadian colleagues. The program is flexible and designed to meet individual needs and learning goals. The Academy is an introduction to the profession of international education and its major practice areas. It is comprised of three training events, complemented by written assignments, regular cohort conference calls, and coaching. Training In addition to the opportunities available around the conferences and state meetings, the NAFSA Academy provides a year of training in all areas of international education. Announcements are sent via the membership listserv and the public Region X listserv. Travel Grants When possible, Region X offers support to members attending regional or national trainings. House and Senate committees that matter most to advancing the association's public policy goals. More information and the application form is available at Recognition Region X celebrates its membership by providing the James O'Driscoll Distinguished Service Award, the Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Rising Professional Award. The Region of Opportunitiesĭay of Action In a change from the Advocacy Days of previous years, the focus of the March 2022 "Day of Action" will be connecting constituents with the lawmakers that sit on the U.S. Region X, which includes members in New York and New Jersey, has a long history rich with leadership, programmatic initiatives, enthusiasm, friends, and a reputation for excellence. NAFSA's members number nearly 10,000 individuals from all 50 states and more than 150 countries. Region 10 Technical High School offers career and technical instruction in the following Maine approved CTE programs: Auto Collision Repair, Automotive Technology, Building Trades, Certified Nursing Assistant, Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Education, EMT Basic, General Trades, Graphic Design & Illustration, Metal Fabrication/Welding, Outdoor Powersports, Pre-Apprenticeship, and Pre-Engineering. These certifications are specific to each program, and are widely recognized by prospective employers and college admission counselors, as a mark of excellence. Many of these programs offer certification which shows evidence to future employers of the work completed and experience gained. There are 14 full year programs at Region 10. Their dedication is evident in the quality of work their students produce throughout the year. All our instructors are highly experienced and passionate about their subject area and have chosen to teach in order to ignite that passion in students.
